Vijay Ashtekar, (25/02/1970) born and brought up in Karad, Maharashtra, India. Primary School education in Nutan Marathi Shala, Secondary School education in Tilak High School, Higher Secondary School education in Venutai Chavan College, Karad. In between the 6th standard, we were in Satara, Anant English School, 7th standard in Koyananagar Vivekanand High School. The movement was due to the periodical transfer of Father being Bank Officer. In 7th standard obtained Scholarship. College education (Commerce) in Garware College of Commerce at Pune.
Up to Secondary School, the academic performance was average, science was the big headache. Somehow (off course with efforts and not by copy) could manage to get good marks in science at 10th in view of not to get failed due to it. From Higher Secondary the performance got accelerated and was always in top gears. In the second year, BCom (June 1989) enrolled for CMA course and obtained a qualification in December 1993. After graduation i.e. in June 1990 enrolled for another professional course CA. Complete 3 years articles with M/s P G Bhagwat Chartered Accountants, Pune a well-known Firm. During articles obtained handsome experience in Audit and Business Management with large organizations as clients.
Passed out the last group in May 1994. Proud to mention that CA course was completed without coaching for any single subject. After education with 2 strong qualifications exposed myself to the industry. Had an interview with few reputed companies in Pune and Mumbai. Fortunately or unfortunately did not get any positive response. Since I was a CA there were enquiries from various people for their issues of tax, accounting, banking finance, etc. I was in a dilemma about my career.

I never thought of working as self-employed. After working with large organizations for 4 years as Auditor during articles it was bit difficult to digest the situation of working with proprietary and partnership firms. At the same time there was an offer from a CMA recently qualified who has commenced his practice to join him and share his office. The office sufficiently equipped and at good location and the gentleman was kind enough to allow me to do my work independently that too again without any cost for many years. The day was October 18, 1994 I formally got into self-employment. After that there was an offer from a large organization to join as Internal Auditor. By that time the matrix of life were completely changed and I had caught another train. Married in July 1999 with Rajashree, BSc, LLB from Kolhapur. A daughter, Rama born in December 2000 is bright in academic since school, did ARANGETRAM in BHARAT NATYAM, currently pursuing CA course.

Music, movies madness since before entry in this world. The exaggeration is due to the liking of these things by parents with both maternal and paternal families. Perhaps a day can be without food but without music may be the eighth wonder of the world. The day starts with it and ends with it. I have a collection of 45000 songs. Many people including clients took the collection from me. I believe any work can be done better if with the music of your choice in the background. Try out sometimes. It’s not only the light music even the classical is by choice.
Countlessly watched some of the movies of Amitabh, Waheeda was the favorite heroine of earlier generations. Nargis was the first-choice actress. Dharmendra is a favorite because of his features, the most handsome ever in the Indian Film Industry.

Pisces being the sun sign dreaming is the part of life. Kahete hai sapne nahi dekhoge to unhe sakar kaise karoge to dekhte raho. Reading makes you wealthy. I read books preferably Marathi but I am not mad at books. Driving whether two or four-wheelers is a passion. Changed many vehicles usually with three years’ average. At the age of 48, I bought bullets and traveled to the places like Satara, Kolhapur. Car driving alone, provided with good music can’t be a boar for me. Adventurous things always attract me whenever I get a chance, I do to the extent possible. Nowadays because of age and energy issues sometimes I have to control myself for certain attempts.
